Let Mum Know How Much You Appreciate Her

There's no love like a mother's love. This is probably a saying that we are very familiar with.

However, it is often said lightly and we do not usually realise the depth of a mother's care and concern for the well being of her children.

To many mothers, their children will always remain their "little ones", whom they will fuss over and worry about, even if their kids are already full grown adults.

While we may have spent our childhood days listening to our mother's stories and advice in awe and wonder, as we grow up we start developing the I-can-run-my-own-life attitude.

We challenge the barriers and limitations they have set for us without realising that those boundaries were set for our own good. We assume that we no longer need mother's tender loving care in our lives. How wrong that would be!

As we traverse life's winding road, slipping and falling along the way, we will come to realise that it takes a mother's touch to heal our bruises, listen to our incessant whining and share our sorrows.

The need to have a heart2heart talk with mum doesn't only apply to girls and women. Sometimes, even grown men need a sense of security and love that only a mother can provide.

The world would be in shambles if mothers did not exist. Their silent prayers and caring thoughts help us through the toughest situations life hurls at us.

When was the last time you told your mum how much you appreciate and love her? If it has been a long time, tell her today before it is too late.
